Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also received several international and national prizes. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
